My crochet hat pattern

I have been making lots of hats lately and thought I would finally write out my pattern for an adult size hat to help me remember it. I always think I will remember and then I stop making hats and have to remember all over again how I make them. So - here is my pattern to share with you and help me remember! Here are some pictures of my recent creations! I hope this pattern helps you!


Adult
I crochet hook medium worsted weight yarn
Join with slip stitch at the end of each round.

ROW 1: 12 dc in the magic ring. Or chain 5, join in the first chain. 12 dc in the ring.
ROW 2: 2 dc in each stitch.
ROW 3: 1 dc in the next stitch. 2 dc in the next stitch. Repeat.
ROW 4: 1 dc in the next 2 stitches. 2 dc in the next stitch. Repeat.
ROW 5: 1 dc in each stitch.
ROW 6: 1 dc in the next 4 stitches. 2 dc in the next stitch. Repeat.
ROWS 7-13: 1 dc in each stitch.
For ear flaps - 10 dc on evenly spaced on each side of the hat for 4 rows.
